Christine Giblin, RN, BSN
Christine Giblin, RN, BSN, joined the Northwestern Movement Disorders Center in 2006. Her past nursing background includes internal medicine, family medicine, and medical-oncology.
Ms. Giblin enjoys many facets of her work here, especially the educational aspect, as there is always more to learn and knowledge to share with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals. In particular, she enjoys teaching patients and families about coping with daily challenges of their disease, minimizing complications, and improving overall well-being and quality of life. Christine co-teaches the nursing portion of Parkinson’s Disease 101 classes for newly-diagnosed Parkinson’s patients and their family members. In addition, she presents continuing education programs on Parkinson’s Disease to other nurses and advanced practice nurses and participates in continuing education programs about Parkinson’s and other movement disorders. In July, 2011, Ms. Giblin attended "A Comprehensive Review of Movement Disorders for the Clinical Practitioner" in Aspen, CO.
