Dr. Melen has been on the faculty of Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University for more than twenty-eight years. He attended medical school at Ankara University in Turkey, and interned at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his fellowship in neuroophthalmology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.

Dr. Melen is a dedicated clinician with multiple interests. He is a specialist in neuroophthalmology. His interests are movement disorders, including but not limited to Parkinson’s disease, and neurological disorders of the eye. He is also expert in the botox treatment of blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, cervical and limb dystonias, and migraine headaches.
